Established in 1993 Lochtron (Pty) Ltd offers a broad range of electronic and mechanical design services. We can take your concept and turn it into a fully qualified product. Lochtron has particular experience of RF and Microwave circuitry as well as EMC design. Lochtron also offers a range of low cost highquality RF modules.

RF Modules - A broad range of standard modules including Frequency Synthesiser Modules, Amplifiers, Prescalers , Variable Attenuators, Tunable Filters

Embedded Frequency Signal Generator - A highly customisable platform for generating RF frequencies from 1 to 18 GHz. We offer wide band solutions that can tune one octave. As well as narrow band options for best phase noise performance. Control to the Signal Generator is ether via a Web Interface or a serial port supporting multiple serial protocols (I2C & RS232)

Custom PCB Design

We offer a full range of expertise from circuit design to PCB layout as well as prototype PCB build. The PCB can then be housed in a CNC Milled enclosure or Tin Box. Due to the very high integration opprotunities surface mount components provide a brass box containing multiple RF components can achieve a very small foot print.

CNC Milling Service

For low volume prototyping we can utilise a hand drawn sketch or various CAD file formats and rapidly convert it into a physical component. We are able to machine pieces up to A3 size and 150 mm tall.

Tin EMC Boxes

For applications that are sensitive to RF interference or are expected to radiate we design custom Tin boxes with with side walls and removable lids.

Component Sourcing

Lochtron (Pty) LTd offers a component sourcing service.  It has imported from companies like Mouser, Minicircuits, Farnell as well as Hittite. We pride ourselves to a personal service with very short lead times. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements.
